Thames Philharmonic Choir members will be accompanied by ‘a sound of astonishing magnificence’ from ‘one of the finest organs in the country’ when they sing the Sunday services at Southwark Cathedral on 12th February. While the resident choir has a break, we will be singing anthems and motets by Wood, Goss, Stanford, and the 16th-century composer Viadana…and a setting to responses by our own artistic director John Bate.  Choral Eucharist at 11am and Evensong at 3pm. For the congregation, it's a great opportunity to soak in the cathedral’s atmosphere and history, as well as to listen to a sermon that is bound to be interesting and thought-provoking.
