SUMMER 2020 Update

As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic we have sadly had to cancel our May and June events.

Our regular weekly rehearsals are now taking place online, with some 50 members joining in Zoom sessions led by Music Director Harry Bradford and accompanist James Orford. These provide an opportunity for us to keep in touch and continue singing, with YouTube learning tracks provided by Harry, James and some of their friends. Currently we are learning or revising a range of works we aim to perform in a virtual concert on 13 June.

We do not yet know whether the Lichfield Cathedral Residency from 31 July-2 August will go ahead; we await news about church and cathedral re-openings.

To receive news of our forthcoming concerts and other activities, please join our mailing list. Or contact us on enquiries@thamesphilchoir.org.uk

Join our mailing list if you'd like us to email you with details of our future events and activities.

Welcome Harry Bradford

“I love the thrill of conducting a group of willing and responsive singers, of shaping the music and feeling the energy that’s released from communal music-making.” Harry Bradford

Thames Philharmonic has appointed rising star Harry Bradford as its new Music Director, with effect from September. Harry has already established a reputation for choral conducting with Genesis Sixteen and at Cambridge University. He follows in the footsteps of founding Conductor John Bate, who has retired after 55 years in the role.
