Welcome Harry Bradford!

Tuesday 10 September marks the arrival of new Music Director, Harry Bradford. We are looking forward to our first rehearsal together as we work towards our December concert with music by Vivaldi, Haydn and Vaughan Williams.

Harry Bradford is a London-based conductor currently completing a Masters degree at the Royal Academy of Music under Patrick Russill, having already been award the Sir Thomas Armstrong prize and the prestigious DipRAM award for an outstanding final recital. He has also participated in masterclasses with Paul Brough (BBC Singers), Simon Halsey, David Hill, Neil Ferris, Mats Nilsson and Roland Börger. Alongside his commitments at the Academy, Harry is the
Genesis Sixteen Conducting Scholar 2018–19 receiving mentoring from Harry Christophers CBE and Eamonn Dougan, the Alec Robertson Scholar at Westminster Cathedral, and Musical Director of both Ingatestone Choral Society and the North Herts Guild of Singers.

Previously, Harry read music at the University of Cambridge and was a choral scholar in the choir of King’s College under the direction of Sir Stephen Cleobury. At King’s, Harry featured as a soloist on live BBC Radio and television broadcasts and was also Musical Director and arranger for the scholars’ close harmony group, The King’s Men. Harry remains active as a singer; working with Tenebrae, Mogens Dahl Kammerkor, the Hanover Band Chorus, London Choral Sinfonia, Siglo de Oro and Britten Sinfonia Voices as well as being a regular deputy in a number of London’s professional church choirs.  Recent career highlights include winning 3rd prize at the DIMA international competition in Cluj, Romania, working as Chorus Master at the St Endellion Easter Festival and becoming Musical Director of Recordare, a new London-based chamber choir consisting of Genesis Sixteen alumni. Harry is grateful to the Royal Academy of Music Bursary Fund, the Chizel Educational Trust, The Royal College of Organists and the Cherubim Music Trust for their support.

We look forward to a very successful partnership!
