Cadogan Hall 2006 Cadogan Hall May 2006

Thames Philharmonic Choir
has been thriving for over 40 years, and is well known for its musical excellence and for the pleasure it brings to audiences, members and fellow-musicians alike. The membership covers a range of age groups, and the combination of high standards and friendliness ensures a regular intake of good new singers. Founding conductor John Bate provides professional training and artistic direction.

International opera star Kathryn Harries became the Honorary President for the Thames Philharmonic Choir in 2004. Her connections with the Choir and with Kingston University (our main sponsor) go back many years. She grew up locally, taught singing in Kingston University as a colleague of John Bate, and sang as a soloist with the choir on several occasions. We were delighted that she joined us for our debut concert at the Cadogan Hall on13 May 2006 as the soprano soloist.
